Debate on the Artivle V Convention!
On Monday, January 5, 2015, there was a debate on the pros and cons of the proposed Article V convention. Participants were me, and Tom Weaver - another Constitutional scholar. It was quite a lively debate. After the initial presentations, questions from the audience kept the discussion going for almost two hours longer!
Location: Lir Irish Pub
My ten-minute intro first:
And a bit more than an hour and a half, including Tom Weaver's intro, mine that followed, and then lots of questions and discussion, farther below:
Sponsored by the Greater Boston Tea Party; many thanks to them for arranging this event.

Professor Kenneth Calvert of Hillsdale College!
Professor Kenneth Calvert, of the Hillsdale College History Department, was our speaker at a special event on Friday, June 27, 2014!
Professor Calvert's riveting topic was "The Ancient Roots of Constitutional Government" and his presentation lasted close to two hours including questions at the end. Two dozen people showed up on a warm summer Friday evening for this talk.
The previous evening's presentation was also well attended - we are told close to 50 people were present at the group "We, the People of Cape Cod" in Centerville MA the day before; June 26th.
Look for details on Prof. Calvert's discourse, coming shortly.

Michael Badnarik's All-Day Class!! Sat. 14 Dec 2013
Michael Badnarik gave his all-day course on the Constitution on a cold day with snow forecast. Thirty three people attended! We also had over a dozen continue the conversation at dinner, which finally wrapped up around 9PM. Everyone got home safely despite the snow.
If you didn't attend, you missed a terrific program! Already we have had inquiries about a return seminar for next year - let us know if you are interested, as well.
Michael was the 2004 Libertarian Party candidate for President. He is the author of the essential beginner's guide to the Constitution "Good To Be King" (an inscribed copy of which comes with the course!), and his newest book, "Secret To Sovereignty" which just came out within the last year. UPDATE: The books shipped on December 2nd. There are some extras for new sign-ups but those will be first-come, first-served.
For more general information about the class and about Mr. Badnarik, go to
http://www.constitutionpreservation.org/ and under the "Start Here" menu you will find "About The Class" and "About The Instructor." There are plenty more resources there as well.

WHY do we bother? Bill Whittle, "Where do we go now?" as recorded by the Hancock Park Patriots.
We've been at this for decades: see the work of "the Christophers" from the early 1950's in this 1951 film.

Ann Barnhardt on the Coming Economic Implosion
http://youtu.be/7dFVFJ0iRRA
Ann sees the world from a very apocalyptic and fundamentalist Catholic viewpoint. However, I have always found her economic analyses to be extremely well-thought, well-researched, and well-presented. This one is no exception. While we can all hope and pray that her conclusions are over-stated, it is utterly certain that there is a huge financial crisis that will strike world-wide --> and time to prepare is running VERY short. I recommend this entire series of 8 YouTube clips; the first one is linked above. Each clip is roughly 20 minutes long (the last is about 15 minutes). There is also information available to purchase the entire set on DVD.
